Jack: Though it seems enough to condemn him.
Elizabeth: There will come a moment when you have a chance to show it, to do the right thing.
Jack: I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.
Jack: The only rules that really matter are these: what a man can do, and what a man can't do.
Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the clearest examples of an anti-hero. His motivations, more often than not, are selfish and he frequently ends up causing most of the trouble that the heroes end up facing. He will join sides with anyone if it advances his own interests and acts recklessly. Yet despite all of that, he is endearing, humorous and in the end assists in saving the day.
Jack: Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest.
